Thank you so much to everyone in the community who came and supported the East Harptree Big Arts Weekend! We were delighted to see so many visitors to the exhibition and participants taking part in the art workshops - there was a creative buzz all weekend and all the cake was eaten too! Scroll down to see photographs of the weekend.
“It was fantastic to see so many of the local community coming to see the art and joining in with the free workshops. This has always been an artistic community and this event was a great reminder of this.”

"Last October a group of artists from East Harptree joined together as a venue on the Chew Valley Arts Trail, and had so much fun that they planned to repeat the experience in 2024. Now, having discovered the trail is taking a break this year, they have decided to host a Big Arts Weekend instead, on 19th-20th October. There will be 9 artists with full exhibits and a further 9 artists putting in one piece to a special local East and West Harptree artists exhibit. As well as this throughout the weekend there will be workshops so people can make their own creative mark.Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that there is such a vibrant pool of artists in this area; the Arts Hub, launched in East Harptree last year, has 2 artists in residence Keri Green & Louis Neale right in the centre of the village, and for many years the village hosted its own arts festival.
‘This place attracts creative people and nurtures them too’ said Daisy Bowie-Sell, one of the brains behind the Arts Hub who lives in East Harptree. ‘It is an inspiring place to live and work.’"
