The Arts Hub at East Harptree

An exciting
opportunity

ARTS HUB LOGO2.jpg

The Arts Hub at East Harptree is a project conceived of by village volunteers, and makes use of a newly available space in the centre of East Harptree.

The Arts Hub supports two artists in the form of free studio space for a year, and at the same time aims to encourage and facilitate engagement between them and the local community, especially those who would not normally have access to the arts.  The Arts Hub 2024 was funded by the community infrastructure levy money granted by the Parish Council.

Keri Green and Louis Neale are the artists in residence in 2024.  The artists have been involved in workshops with the Girl Guides and East Harptree primary school, as well as collaborate on community workshops and exhibitions with the Rising Waters Community Project, Valley Arts, the Big Arts Weekend and the Hunky Punk Heritage Project with the Newton Project and St Laurence Church, East Harptree. For information on the exciting projects they have been working on in the community, look at our 2024 projects page here.

We are now looking for new artists to take up the space for 2025.  Could this be you?  See our application page for more information and how to apply.

The Arts Hub 2025 and 2026 will be funded by the Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants and the community infrastructure levy money granted by the East Harptree Parish Council.

With over 10 years experience in arts, community outreach, and social enterprise, I am very excited to be joining the Arts Hub project. I developed my interest in art and art practices through 7 years managing art galleries and previous academic expertise (BA SOAS, MA Sotheby’s Institute). I further added a passion for social enterprise and community outreach while co-owning and managing Cakes and Ladders, a board game cafe on a double decker bus, which also supported community wellbeing. Since moving to Pensford nearly two years ago, I have become committed to supporting community initiatives and run the local toddler group. I’m delighted to begin this new chapter with East Harptree Arts Hub, it’s artists, and it’s vibrant community.
